racism tends to stem from FEAR. fear of others, fear of unknowns.
I disagree, Racism has by and large been rooted in a sense of superioity, fear stoking plays into it, but not in a "We're so scared of you" way but in a "I am scared of the tabled being turned on me way" This isn't universal, but the core of bigotry is the same as the core of fascism "The enemy is impure and we are pure, the enemy is dangerous but weak, we are the victims, but we are strong" ETC.

Hm. This new t-shirt from the store offers an interesting look at what the unnammed horse Grimm look like prior to fusing with Imps and becoming Nuckelavee.

I hope they show up in the show at some point, both so we can get a better sense of their power levels* and so they can show some special ability that can retroactively be added to the Nuckelavee.

Maybe something that's not super useful in direct combat to explain why it didn't use it against RNJR. A slow to build up gas attack maybe to tie it to the myths of Nuckelavee bringing plague and wilting crops. Or maybe it could be amphibious and able to swim underwater, referencing Nucks and Nuckelavee being seaborne monsters. Or maybe fusing with other Grimm is their special ability and we can see the fusion process in action (referencing Nucks and Kelpies and such being able to make people who ride them get stuck so that they can drown them by diving into the water).

* (I'd like if they're noticably weaker than the Nuckelavee was too emphasize how big a deal that monster was)

edit:
Also man those are some gorgeous Grimm designs. The Nuckelavee was properly horrifying but the horses without all the freaky mutations are more eerily beatiful than creepy.

ya know.....
I sometimes wonder just how long ago the "Paladin Incident" and "Watt's Death" was before the events of V7.
Clearly long enough that Whitley has no clue who the man is while Jac is acutely aware of who he is and that he was "dead".

Hmm, hard to say to be honest, I'd say maybe around a decade-ish give or take. Watts and Pietro look 'younger' in the photo, but not overly so.

OK, just had a thought for the Final Battle of Ice Queendom and I want to post it on SV, but I don't want to risk being called on double posting
so I am dropping it here for now.

What if the final battle against the Nightmare is more or less a round 2 against the Armor Gigas that Weiss had to fight just to go to Beacon.
Like, General Weiss finally comes to her senses and accepts Ruby, Blake and Yang, the Nightmare gets angry and desperate so it takes control of a VERY LARGE metal statue for kind of a Big Nic Gig. And in this battle General Weiss gets the iconic Weiss Scar, the voice of Nic/Jac/Nightmare try to verbally berate her and say this is the punishment for siding with the sillies and she will never be a "true schnee", but General Weiss counters by pretty much giving a "screw you" speech before she declares herself as Weiss of Team RWBY as well as the Partner and Best Friend of it's Leader, Ruby Rose.
