Thought I'd stop by and share this, CRWBY's upcoming rpg adventure set in Remnant:
I am very much looking forward to this. My interest in making and playing tabletop RPG game has waned somewhat lately due to a lack of anyone to play with and it being a real struggle for me to GM myself. But this might reignite my love of the genre, and give me inspiration to try my hand at it again.
I wasn't super exited to hear about RT making Transformers stuff instead of their own shows but the trailer for this looks kickass (I think I can spot some gen:LOCK influence and experience in how the robots move) and it does have that MCU type advantage of being a completely new and somewhat separate entry into a super bloated franchise that makes it easier for newcomers to get invested without having to wrestle with decades of tangled continuity. Will check this out later.
So true, you don't date, befriend or associate with an Arc unless you're down to commit various shades of criminality.
I'm reminded of that Dr McNinja quote about Gordito the 12 year old going around gleefully punching all the elite mini-boss villains in the face.
"
The child delights in violence."
Replace violence with crime and that's basically the Arc family in a nutshell. Even Adrian Arc, a literal baby was 100% onboard with aiding and abetting a group of criminals while they stole military property. That family is straight up gangsta.
Also the Sapphron x Terra pairing is basically that "
Be gay, do crime" meme in a nutshell.
Indeed and imagine how he;ll react if he finds out Winter "let" them go.
Also on other sites I mentioned some RWBY meta arguing the White Fang plot-line was not analogous to the American Civil Rights movement and I was recently redirected to them, and my gosh it is incredible how well these insights hold up.

I feel like they make a very good point but also miss some stuff. The thing about the Faunus is that much like animal based analogies for racism in general the Faunus don't really fit neatly into any one specific 1:1 analogy for a specific minority.
The White Fang itself and the post-war era situation for the Faunus is a great fit for the IRA and racism against the Irish.
But the shops that outright forbid Faunus customers and even have signs saying so are more of a fit for America with it's segregation. Most notably against black people but it can also be spun as being about Irish, as America did segregate the Irish in the past.
The widespread use of Faunus as slave labor? Trying to "solve" the Faunus issue by shipping all the Faunus off to their own little tropical Island that most of them have no connection to and which likely can't hold all of them? Is much more of an analogy of the African slave trade and the Madagascar plan.
And the Faunus being their own separate cultural group that basically everyone has shat on for thousands of years and which only really started getting any kind of dignity back and finally got their own country after the biggest world war in history? Could be seen as an analogy for Jews.
Much like the countries and cultures of Remnant itself is somewhat random seeming hodgepodge of various historical groups (Mistral which is both China+Japan but also Greece+Rome) the Faunus don't really fit neatly into any one category and takes bits and pieces of various real life cultures and history. Atlas might physically and historically work as a British Empire analogy but it's culture and attitude seems much more modern USA inspired.
