I find it interesting how Penny's blades, which she conjured out of thin air and which appeared to be crafted out of pure Aura still haven't vanished/disintegrated after her death. Makes me wonder if whatever she/Ambrosious did that allowed her to live as a soul without a body might allow her to be brought back to life somehow. Death is but an illusion and all that.
Alternatively if she really is dead I wonder if Ruby might work her blades into Crescent Rose somehow, or reforge Crescent Rose and Penny's aura blades into a new weapon. I've always felt that the scene of Ruby taking up Penny's sword in volume 3 felt like it could be explored further, especially with how Jaune later ended up working Pyrha's tiara and sash into his own gear.

She had the chance to walk away again in V8. If she dies, it's her own damn fault.
If Neo was to die in V9, would you be for it, against it, or ok with it?
I bring this up because Pheonix/Night's recent video talks about the possibility of Neo dying. And he does not want it to happen (preferring someone like say Jaune to help her) and basically every comment on the video says to various degrees of how much they don't want the pint-size killer to die. From how she is a comfort character, to the best character, to people saying how it would be a waste of possibilities for her to die. etc. etc.
For Pheonix to boil it down they gave 2 possibilities for Neo's End in Ever After. Possibility 1 being she makes an enemy out of the residents of the island themselves, like say Queen of Hearts (OFF WITH HER HEAD), because the emotions of those from Remnant seem to effect the weather and if Neo is going to be a ball of murderous rage then a raging storm will follow in her wake. Possibility 2 is that she just does not return to Remnant. For Pheonix and their "The Tree is Yggdrasil and leads to different Realms" theory they also have a Gatekeeper. The Gatekeep asks them each the same question of "What is your purpose" or something, to tie into the theme of "Who Are You?" and "What Is Your Purpose" as seen in the trailer and teaser. For Neo Pheonix believes their answer, their "One Thing", would be something along the lines of "To be by Roman's side". Now Pheonix is one of those people that believes Roman survived getting munched, and that if that is the case than Neo would be plopped to where on Remnant Roman is. But, if the dashing rogue is actually dead, then it's the afterlife for Neo.

I have like. No real expectations for volume 9. CRWBY keeps surprising me with the twist and turns they take the story in and volume 9 has no preset rails to follow. Anything can happen so I'm just going to wait and see.
