Eh, I doubt it's RWDE. Just someone who forgot/doesn't care that one part of the shows appeal is weapons that are awesome, regardless of real world practicality.
I was referring to your ... A historical accuracy expert was paid to talk about rule of cool weapons? comment.

Many fandoms including the Lord of the Rings fandom have asked Skall to talk about weaponry, practical or not. You dont need to create a conspiracy theory about how the evil RWDE conspired to hire someone to talk badly about RWBY, thats not healthy.

If 🐝 can cause a influx of new fans who genuinely love the show and who are numerous enough to drown out or at least muffle the HTDM then I will be very happy. 😊
Is that before or after the RWBY fandom will accuse them of being homophobic and strip them of their LGBT+ identities over any minor disagreement? Which, i dont mind i guess, more LGBT+ fans in accepting critic spaces is never a bad thing, we have many LGBT+ people in our communities already that the RWBY fandom treated horribly.

Anyway.

Some great looking concept art from RWBY: Arrowfell. Especially one from a part of the game that I've wanted to discuss for a while but the scene they was a bit tricky to capture good screenshots from that would show the full picture (looked quite sweet in animation though).

At one point in the game Team RWBY end up stumbling onto these intriguingly ancient looking ruins with some sort of Norse/stone age style cave paintings on them.

Along with a bunch of other quests in the game it highlights how old civilization on Solitas truly is. If the Kingdom of Mantle was founded by a relatively recent wave of settlers as implied in Qrow's WoR episode on Atlas then they were far from the first people to settle the continent.

That's an excellent point there, I had sort of mused on that regarding the various scattered towns and ruins, but it hadn't really occurred to me what that actually meant, IE, that society there has been present so much longer than Atlas ever was, kind of puts things in perspective, people survived there before Mantle and Atlas and they could again.

I mean, in hindsight it actually shouldn't be surprising.
People across the ages would of seeked various ways to live away from the Grimm and terrain is one of the main ways.
Not to mention Solitas became known for being a pretty good spot for finding veins of Dust.
So a terrain that at one time made it hard for Grimm to chase you, and a source of a defensive resource, and boom, a hotspot to migrate to.

And look at history in our world and you'll find accounts of various groups calling the same areas home over time. Following resources, legends, or looking for passage. I mean, those ruins in the image above is literally just Stonehedge. And the real life one and sites like it to this day have researchers and archeologists scratching their heads.

I feel like we can't let itsclydebitches and their utterly garbage takes on everything slide by without mentioning the absolute stupidest take I've seen on the V9 trailer:

"wtf is this 'plot' bullshit amirite"

It's telling when "critics" openly cater to the fact that the HTDM doesn't want the female protagonists of the show to have any sort of storyline or character development, but to just exist as props for cool fights.

'non-combat filler?'

I mean, the lack of outright combat in the trailer is kind of odd for RWBY, and suggests things for the upcoming volume, but using that to claim the volume is 'filler' is bizarre logic indeed.

Gosh dang, can I just say how refreshing this person's live reaction is?

I mean I've encountered plenty of people who take these stances, but after so long being stalked and harassed by Ironwood stans who don't know what authoritarian and fascist mean, constantly defending this classist bastard and his cronies, its nice to see a fresh faced person go, "Man, fuck that guy!"
Speaking of refreshing can we just stop talking about dumb shitheads being dumb? The only reason I'm still on this forum is to get away from that shit and just be able to chill and talk about RWBY with people who actually enjoy it.

If we're going to repost stuff from other places on the interwebz then let it be something positive or interesting.

Fair and also oh my gosh I love all the Cheshire are right now!

Oooh I got something gorgeous to share, this Animatic is one of the best I have ever seen, it feels like it invented romance!
I also especially love that they wove in stuff from the comics where Blake & Yang are so incredibly gay for each other, love it!
