Yeah, which is pretty gross to say the least.

Plus that was when not just calling me (& others) a liar for having a different opinion.

Like, I sensed myself getting annoyed with them and pulled back and went, "You know what, this obviously means a lot to them, and maybe you're being uncharitable. Maybe you two really did watch the same things, care about the same stuff and come away with entirely different conclusions. Let's try and be diplomatic and respectful rather than letting thing degrade into insults and accusations."

Well we see what that got me, no wonder I don't give certain 'critics' the benefit of the doubt these days, it always bites me in the ass.

Given that I have never had a problem/bad experience with Cartoon, never seen this mythical "canonseeker" that makes critics froth at the mouth in rage whenever they come up, nor spotted these "multiple alt accounts", and instead have seen actual rage, bad faith takes, and acts of harassment from people such as yourselves, I am more inclined to side with Cartoon than you.
Recall, as Lilith brought up, that is was the both of you who came in here out of the blue on the gods damn warpath for Zam apparently saying not nice things about Dex. I, personally, had no real thoughts or opinions or even really heard of Dex before that day, so frankly chances of a positive take about you were immediately shot to hell.
As for the Hbomber video it is reasonable to "not let it go" as it is still a video of lies that continues to poison thoughts and opinions about RWBY as it keeps being used as a critique video about the series and brought up by other youtubers when they are more or less dragged into talking about RWBY when they are not invested in/don't care about/don't like RWBY.




Either they mean Here, and we can add this to the list of "random titles this thread is given" right next to "Lilith's little gang".

Oh I do have criticism's for the show, but it's stuff that has been talked into the ground (Haven's fight), or easily avoid mess ups behind the scenes (the Fair Game debacle, brining up Mettle on social media, and just everything that has come out over the years that has increased 10-fold in the last year).
So basically not much worth in me wasting time trying to type essays when everyone and their mother has talked at length about these things. No need to beat dead horses.

But here, let me run down some common points "critics" bring up that I can think of off the top of my head.
I have no problem with RNJR staying in The House as in-universe it makes sense to me given that RNJR don't have much reason or means to strike out on their own to do anything plot relevant as they have Qrow and Ozpin and thus they feel safe in the belief the adults have a plan they are working on. Plus they did just trek cross-continent and could use the break to just rest and train. Meanwhile out of universe everyone is well aware of the backstage issues during this time so they couldn't do a lot anyway.
I have no problem with the Adam story, as I feel the show made it clear he was a danger from early on. No change of character, no character assassination, just a guy who enjoyed power and control who eventually lost his shit when someone he thought he held control over both vocally and physically made it clear he did not have that power anymore.
I do NOT see RWBY as the true villains of the show. Despite the set backs, the injuries and deaths, Ruby and her allies have kept rallying back and sticking to the heart of their chosen profession, as a Huntsmen/Huntress is to protect the People no matter the Kingdom. And when they have messed up they still try to make it right. They could of left Argus behind after incapacity Cordo's mech, but instead they flew right back into the fray and dealt with the Leviathan they had an accidental hand in bringing to shore. In Atlas all they tried to do was help. They tried to help finish the Amity project while making sure Mantle was safe. When Salem arrived they could of just taken Penny and got out of there (as without the Maiden they weren't getting The Staff), but they stuck around because they still wanted to help the people. And despite Ironwood's best efforts to force his way of things, Ruby and friends were able to find other ways. They got the people of Atlas and Mantle out of there, even putting their lives on the line.

You do not wish to make essays, thats yours choice. I on the other hand want to make them. Thats partially how i relax and keep my writing skills up.

You see no problems with the Adam story? That is fine. That is your opinion. You have no problem with V5 House? Thats fine, it is once again your opinion. And i agree that Gray messed things up, if i am not mistaken RWBY has never even recovered after what Gray did. That situation left such a gaping wound in the shows production that some of the things even now are probably affected by it.

You dont see team RWBY as true villains of the show? That is fine, neither do most critics. One big problem that the fandom has is that they label everyone in a group as having the same opinion. We dont. If i am not mistaken Critter was the person who made that whole team RWBY being villains thing.

A lot of critics believe that team RWBY are reckless to an unreasonable extent and take actions they should not do as heroes, and that the writers/plot actively reward them for reckless behaviour. And once again, its fine if you dont agree.

People can disagree, its normal, we critics disagree all of the bloody time with each other. Thats life. We argue and then we just continue doing whatever we are doing. But for some reason some people in the fandom cannot stand that fact and even go as so far as going into critic spaces to harass them.

We are in the modern age, you can block anyone you wish as an user, or a tag if you are on tumblr. One can curate ones experiences. And yet some people refuse to do so and act like people with a different opinion are genuinely evil, fascists, alt-right etc.

We are in the modern age, you can block anyone you wish as an user, or a tag if you are on tumblr. One can curate ones experiences. And yet some people refuse to do so and act like people with a different opinion are genuinely evil, fascists, alt-right etc.

I think it says a lot about those I've encountered that they decide to make hating on a piece of media their entire personality (Something they always project in reverse onto fans like we don't do other stuff) rather than either just making their critique and carrying on or moving on like a mature individual.

Like I used to enjoy Dragon Ball despite my contentions with it, but Super ended up pushing me too far and so I just... Stopped. I don't go looking for fics, or fan art or videos telling me how smart I am for hating it, or watching it in general and I am better for it.

I could have. Yeah, i could have. But i didnt. That still does not change what happened initially. I can accept that i came off way too strong and ranty. Nor does it explain you or the rest of the peoples continuous attempts to change the situation to something else.

I made a shit first impression, came on too strong, and that still does not change the fact that Zam and another person were about to spread lies about me, i believed that to be intentional considering that it would not be the first time, i was wrong, but neither what was Zam doing was just expressing an "opinion".

And yet you and the others seemingly constantly try to paint the situation as if i came completely for no reason, unprompted, while ignoring the actions that actually lead to my presence here. And your actions currently seem to mirror the actions back then.

When Zam was preparing to spread the lies, you came to his defence and approved of his actions. And now that some time has passed you are trying to conveniently ignore them, also in defense of him.

And we in the end got to that point. And i did not think of that before, because i did not really think of my actions at that moment very deeply because my response was emotional, not one born out of logic. I can understand your logical outline even if i think that it was still reckless, and i can acknowledge that my response was definitely not what one could consider to be the greatest.

And yet even now it seems that Pug, Matrix and you want to pretend that you just "expressed an opinion" and that i came here completely unprompted. Like seriously. Why? We know what happened, and yet you constantly seem to try to change the situation, and its just confusing.
