Hmmm, maybe they can create a sort of self applied perception field around themself that works as a translation of the Kami Tanuki's shape shifting?

So.....like a mix of Emerald's "Hallucination" and May's "Invisibility field"?
....hmmmm....

Yeah pretty much, like layering a field over themself, possibly projected the same way their Aura is that changes how someone will see them.

Now, what about the eternal rival, the Kitsune?

also these thoughts are in my head thanks to the anime "My Master Has No Tail" where a foolish young Tanuki has left her island home to be like her father and go play some tricks on humans, only to find that humanity has advanced enough where they are not easily fooled (can't easily spook someone with "ghost fire" when a street lamp suddenly turns on right next to you). she eventually ends up in the care of a mysterious and very skilled rokuga performer, and while she won't admit it our Tanuki is sure this woman is a Kitsune. Honestly this show is just adorable and as I love theater this show and how it explains this old japanese art is fantastic.

Sytokun's a dude currently "on' his third RWBY "rewrite"—none of which were ever finished or went anywhere after even a few videos. Hilariously, his second such "rewrite" project has all of one Q&A video for it...followed by him claiming that he was "Moving On From RWBY" (and then proceeding to do nothing but RWBY content).

His latest, "Remnants", has...basically all of two "episodes" existing. His version of the "White" trailer is about Weiss being a helpless scared little child until her father coaches her into being badass. His first episode proper focuses almost entirely on Qrow, making him Ruby's father, whereas Summer exists just to fall for Qrow and then get fridged.

(He's also on the RWDE tag as part of a new wave of "MONTY'S VISION" hatejerking, because the folks who really respect Monty Oum and what he created are the folks who believe they can do Monty's Oum creation better than Monty Oum himself~)

Something like that, yeah. There's also Stone Lad from the Legion of Superheroes era. Turns into a statue, can't move, but makes a great weight or blunt object. And given how popular Tanuki statues are...

I now have this mental image of a cheery, friendly, old fat guy with a fluffy tail. He carries with him a knapsack, a pole, and dangling from the pole a container that securely holds old and worn tea kettle and a few small tea cups.
I mean, just imagine Uncle Iroh, but as a Tanuki Faunus.
To me, it just FITS.
"Good Tea, good company, good fortune."

just had an idea for a faunus villain
a Komodo Dragon faunus, with the trait being the Komodo's trademark bacterial bite.
nasty sheit.

I remember at one point I had an OC Team based on Kamen Riders of all things....but I can only remember the base of 2 of them >.<

the first was the team leader based on Kamen Rider Blade King Form and King Arthur, so a fairly noble dude who used a big sword.

The other was based on Kamen Rider OOO PuToTyra and would of been a reptile faunus with a tail for their trait.

I can't recall who the other 2 would of been.

What about you guys? any of you got a list of OC's you've built over the last decade?

I had a bunch of high ranking WF members, the War Master Scout Master, Shadow Master and Master Technicus, each were direct subordinates of Sienna, and Adam was technically the Master of Champions, though that was only due to being Sienna's protégé as that was nominally her position as High Leader.

Given your love for the tigress I am not surprised by this set up. XD

Though I guess me and my girlfriend also had a thing for faunus OC's, as back when we did rp's with each other on an rp site we had faunus oc's for ourselves, in fact it was this rp where I first had the above Rider-based team show up. I can't exactly remember what kind of faunus my girlfriend and I were.....but I remember her character fought with a rope dart (this was before we knew what Sienna's weapon was) and my character.....was basically the head of the faunus equivalent of the SDC, i.e. I was a faunus with dust business that rivaled Jac's rotten business. In hindsight it kinda breaks the world. >.>"

... this sounds like someone who hasn't lived with a dementia patient for almost half a decade. They're hard to care for at the best of times, and when semi-stable... and she died before it really got fucking bad.

My mom had not only to safety-proof the house but also hire external help (because our luck with old folks' homes was just fucking bad, as in 'grandmother's anti-arthritic is being taken apart, emptied, and then put together again' and 'room didn't even have working nurse call buttons' bad) because we had lives (including my mom, who had to pay all the bills on a Christian college math teacher's paycheck) to go to. We managed, but barely. It was funny to hear my grandmother call my little brother my Uncle Ray... who didn't look anything like him at that young age.

... but yeah, dementia patient rooms tend to look like fancy prison cells if they're especially bad.

Anyone got a Twitter account? WayForward seems to be posting bios for Grimm that appear in the game but they're hard to find without an account because of the dungeating "it's illegal to browse without an account" code Twitter uses.

I think you missed their point about the fact Winter was literally Fria's only caretaker.
Should put that one word in bold.

Arrowfell Music Teaser #3

Swindlen description
"Swindlen are agile, persistent, and tricky to hit. These simian-like foes aren't very strong but can be dangerous in groups."

Razorwing description
With flapping wings and shredding talons, Razorwings are harpy-like Creatures of Grimm. They're as vicious as they are frightening!

just saw this from an Anonymous while scrolling through tumblr
"If you could indulge me in this little rewrite of Blake's V4-5 arc? What if after Beacon fell Ironwood sent Cordovin to occupy Menagerie to sus out any in-hidding WF, catalysing his paranoia for later volumes and depicting Cordo as an actual scary person. Ghira wants to keep the peace but Blake becomes restless as tensions between Atlas soldiers and the locals grow, and the arc accumulates with a more courageous Blake taking down Cordovin's mech with Sun and Ilia's help."

Like....noooooo. just....no.
side note, this was sent to sytokun, and I did not bother bother checking to see what they did with the idea.

Why would he send Cordovin given the framing around her is "Person we don't like sent somewhere unimportant"? Also, Ironwood's whole thing was turtling at this point, it makes no sense for him to be sending out forces like that. What's more, Ironwood didn't even really think about the White Fang all that much, he was hyper fixated on Salem, which is hilarious cos she barely cared about him save in relation to Ozpin. Also pretty damn sure Kuo Kuana being occupied by Atlas would have brought Sienna in early, so things would be going wildly off the hook.

sytokun's ideas are shit anyway and his art while competent has this weirdly sexualized vibe in lots of pieces, which rather feels like missing the point of RWBY.

anyone ever see fanart for Insect/Arthropod Faunus?
Like, outside of the Scorpion (arachnid) Faunus Tyrian and the Spidergirl (also arachnids) in Menagerie that tied up Blake....I don't think we have canon examples of a Faunus with a creepy crawly trait.
