Thanks for sharing, that was an excellent piece and it scans depressingly well, people love conspiracy theories after all, we like narratives and drama, as well as clear villains, which makes it very easy for such grifts to take hold.

Newest episode, my reaction:
Woah full on trench warfare, Atlas is trying to advance or more reclaim lost ground as the Grimm continue to swarm in with an epic display of models, number and a long tracking shot, OOF.
And we cut inside to see our heroes, huh surprised we didn’t see them sneaking in but then given the fount of negative emotions that is Atlas + Ren it makes sense to skim over it to an extent.
Hahaha, adrenaline is great and all but now its wearing off & they’re realizing “Oh boy, this is gonna be more complicated than expected.” Oooh neat detail on Ren’s Semblance & I love Yang’s reaction

I've seen OT3 theories for JNR be on the rise lately. How would people feel if those theories actually came true?
At first it almost felt sinful to consider Ren or Nora in any other pairing than Flower Power but this and volume 7 had done a lot to flesh out their relationship in a way that makes it a lot more complex than just "Destined Pairing of True Love". Jaune has had a lot of cute moments with both of them.
And I have to admit, it would be gutsy as hell for the show to portray a poly relationship between a woman and two bisexual men. Don't think I've ever seen that in mainstream media before.

Yeah at one point I'd have agreed with you but I've softened to it every volumes since the end of 4, and these last two volumes really kicked it up a noch.
Agreed, and also I'd be totally up for it, I think it'd be good for all involved.
Not sure if poly, but they are undoubtedly FAMILY.
After failing to protect his partner (Pyrrha), nearly losing more friends (Renora to The Nuck and Weiss to Cinder), and finally starting to heal and move on (the Memorial in Argus) I think it's clear that Jaune is going to embrace is position as Support Tank and make damn sure he doesn't lose anyone else. And for Ren and Nora they also saw Pyrrha as family and expressed their concern for Jaune back in Argus, and it's clear they don't want to lose him just as much as Jaune does not want to lose them and the others. Basically aside from each other Ren and Nora only had Jaune and Ruby after The Fall, and they had little brother Oscar and the return of WBY. They had their family back plus one. Family and protection is important to JNR, some are just having trouble where everything fits and where they stand.
