RWBY & RT General Discussion Thread (V1)

So RWBY: The Grimm Campaign just concluded in epic fashion and already I can't wait for season 2. I hope they release the first season to the public when the second season comes out so that more people will get invested. And I hope they're able to add more RWBY assets to Talespire because it's always fun when those show up and as fun as these final episode where the Talespire portions would have been even more fun if everything could have looked more like what it was supposed to look like.

Also I live for Eddy trolling his players with "you opened the door and triggered an alarm/come face to face with 74 Grimm" fakeouts. 😹

I love the dynamic between team Sapphire and team Smoke. Eddy deciding to make a Team Rocket equivalent was a stroke of genius. 😆

Speaking of storytelling, it really says something they decided to include police brutality in the trailer.

One thing that would really make it perfect is if Watts takes advantage of the "enhanced interrogation" to feed Ironwood bullshit that causes him to make even more terrible decisions. Just to really drive in the point that torture and police brutality isn't just bad because it's morally wrong to do, but also because it's not even effective at protecting anything. The only thing it's "good" for is oppressing and cowing the innocent.

Oooh that would be hilarious and clever, I could totally see Watts doing that.

And possibly a person who may short the cells out just by being there XD

I was thinking more that it could be problematic for the heroes if he does get out. Qrow and Robyn rescuing themselves is a different matter :)

Also, good god Ironwood, weren't you so stretched for supplies with the Amity project you had to loot civilian defenses. How come you've got Dust to spare for shit like force field cell? ...oh. ohhhh..

Oh true, true, I was mostly just thinking Ironwood is sticking a lot of people with skills and motive to screw him over in the same area it seems XD

I love this post on the matter XD

That second post still cracks me up. Trying to argue theres no reason for it besides plot convenience. And using mantles security not being upgraded as an example of 'bad writing'.
In my experience a lot of people are raised to think the military and government do work in the common good and are super practical, competence machines, when while that may be how they want people to think of them it is painfully far from the truth.
