Fortunately I was never that into Nuts and Dolts, still powerful, well written and drawn and voiced, so certainly evocative but not hitting me where I live in the same way XD

Gosh just finished responding to a bunch of comments on my BB video and one particularly annoying guy really does emphasize how they cannot perceive RWBY from anyone's perspective but their own.

There's a lot of examples but I think the best one was when they went on a rant about Adam and how "No one even knew he died, Ruby doesn't know he died, Blake & Yang didn't talk about him to anyone else!" like... Even ignoring that they did give a brief summation to the others, the fact that this is a hill you want to die on really shows how important goatboy is to you, not some error in the writing XD

They told the others what happened ON SCREEN. The others know he's dead. Also, the only thing that any of their friends would care about is how being forced to kill the fucker would affect Blake and Yang.

Seriously, what is it with people thinking if they don't have long briefing sessions on screen, the heroes never communicate with each other?

CRWBY is subtle and trust their audience to grasp stuff
RWDE - "We were never told things! Bad Writing!"

CRWBY beats the audience over the head with a neon sign
RWBY - "They don't understand 'Show, Don't Tell'/They are shoving stuff down our throats! Bad Writing!"

Right? Like its not even an accurate summary of events before it hits blatantly nonsensical expectations for how the characters would react XD

Hahaha, pretty much XD

I am also reminded of that Ironwood stan who went on a rant about Winter "Defacing the statue of a patriot" or what the fuck ever when she'd scrawled a message on Weiss's statue but they thought that Vacuo for some reason had built a statue of Ironwood.

Like !?!??! WHAT!??!?!

OK, so, remember how back during the Mistral Arc people figured we would get Black Sun and Sun would get a big important battle with Adam because Monkey VS Bull ala Monkey King VS Bull Demon King?

Well, the above video puts that possiblity into, in my opinion, hilarious hindsight.
Why?
Well the way Red tells this part of the tale, Bull Demon King is both unfaithful, a coward, and his initial wife is better off without him AND she does get better when she puts BDK behind her as she and Monkey part ways on good terms.

I mean, Vacuo does need a public toilet...
