I'd like to add that the God of Darkness also has his domain on a mountain top according to the Archive Promenade. So the two aren't so different there. It's implied in the episode too with Salem having to climb stairs to reach him too.

In other words...

Curious Cat: Ooh, those two brothers! Talk about a god complex, am I right? 😼

Also true facts, like Dark could have gone to humans he could have not surrounded himself with hostile terrain and monsters, he could have done a lot of things. In some ways it could be easy to interpret him as a kind of perpetual self inflicted victim, as in like Adam a part of him welcomes his victim status because it allows him to justify his shitty behavior.

I have never heard of that bat but it is very cool and honestly I kind of like that more than it being auctioned of.

Another idea for what Ruby or her allies (assuming its them) could be up to in the gods laboratory. What if they mix up some kind of balance formula to dump into the Grimm pools so that the Creatures of Grimm stop being mindless engines of destruction like the Jabberewalker and instead become more like proper Spirits of similar type to the Relic spirits or the Afterans.

It could be an interesting way to set up the series ending without Salem ever being decisively defeated by Team RWBY but being rendered almost powerless in the face of a world united against her and without the army of monsters that forms the bulk of her army.

There's potential for a sequel series where she becomes a threat in the future but in such a series the actions of RWBY would have undercut her power base to such an extent that actually defeating her would be far more realistic (especially with human society being more robust and widespread, along with many creatures of Grimm actively opposing her).

No victory in strength and all that, instead it's found in achieving true balance in a way the gods never could.

On that note the Brothers never managed to fix the Jabberwalker so RWBY fixing the Grimm would in many ways be an act of surpassing the Gods.

How would that be achieved despite being so much less powerful?

Simple. By also being much less prideful and simply asking the Tree/Blacksmith for guidance with designing the cure. Possibly also getting help from other Afterans.

The Brothers failed because they were too proud to admit their mistake and too proud to ask for help, likely thinking that no one else could help them because they where the oldest and most powerful (not counting mother dearest).

Hmm, while a very interesting idea I find it rather doubtful.

I find the idea of the Grimm going away (In the sense of being so changed as to be unrecognizable) is unlikely and given the looming threat of the gods genocide, and Salem being as much a character as a villain I can't really envision this feeling particularly satisfying. Especially if they can only do it by asking the Blacksmith for help as it feels kind of like they just had an idea, but otherwise only won by getting help on a science experiment, which itself would feel kind of tonally off for the series.

Ultimately, to me it doesn't really feel like much of a resolution, oh it would in universe certainly but from a story telling perspective much less so I'm afraid. Plus they'd still need to get the Relics back from Salem and this would also kind of imply the Grimm are all a hive mind/essence... Something which I don't think is well supported by canon.

I think the Grimm will remain, unchanged.

I think the only things that will be mostly removed/changed will be;
No more Relics
Salem and the Oz Collective are freed from their respective curses
The Brothers return to The Tree

So, because I watched some of Dooley's content the other day, a lot of older AH content has been showing up in my feed. I hadn't seen much of it since the various bullshit in that department, and I'm kind of surprised by how much I still enjoyed the let's plays, even after all this time.

A thought recently occurred to me.

You know those old theories about Qrow being Ruby's real dad? I realized another reason why they're dumb.

Why? Because there are very good odds that Qrow is a virgin.

Think about it! It makes perfect sense! Until recently this man has believed himself to be cursed, that he will cause harm and pain to anyone he gets close to.

He specifically keeps physical distance from people as much as possible to reduce the odds of his Semblance jinxing people while having sex involves getting as physically close to people as its possible to get and involves extended contact.

You think this man is going to have sex with someone and risk having them randomly choke on their own spit or some other improbable but still physically possible way to get hurt through bad luck?

Of course not. He barely let's himself stay in the same house as his own family. Qrow's totally a virgin.

... I can safely say I've never given the logistics of Qrows semblance and sex life any thought. But Huh. That does make sense. Dammit Qrow.
I was just walking around, suddenly remembered that theory, thought it would be kinda funny if it was addressed in the show with a snide "that would be impressive considering I'm virgin" from Qrow and then I realized that Qrow being a virgin would actually make a ton of sense considering his whole deal prior to volume 8.

Pain is your reward for being near me Fate won't be your friend when I'm around
Blame me for the tragedies that follow Grave, the situations that surround

Bane is what I am to every life
Trust one thing, take my advice
If you linger close, it's a hefty price

These are not the thoughts of a man who is OK with even casual hookups. He might joke about the skirt length of innkeepers but that's as much of a facade as his devil may care attitude and snark.
