Yang is still terrible at flirting.

I can't believe there are people who actually complain about this.

I still can't believe they waited until they were in a world where metaphors can physically manifest to have Blake and Yang confess their love for each other so they could physically show what it feels like when you want to express something so big and important but also scary because it makes you so vulnerable.

It was a brilliant writing decision that made the best possible use of the medium to convey what it feels like to confess one's love and have it be returned in kind.

I gotta say, this week is making it easy to see what accounts to block.
Yeah pop on one negative twitter post and boom boom boom boom boom! Insta block list, plus some very entertaining zingers.

People who have a vested interest in undermining something will complain about anything, this was a brilliant writing decision, it let Blake & Yang have this moment without them interrupting the story to do it and without it being undermined of overshadowed by the surrounding plot and it was in an ideal location both in terms of cinematography and theme.
The way the storm starts to fade as they speak gets me every time.
Gosh yes, it becomes so gentle and soothing, I adore it.

Also, reminding us that yes, Ruby might be at her lowest, but there is still hope and joy.

Heck, it won't surprise me if Blake and Yang's happiness with each other helps to pull Ruby out of her funk.

Out of all of them, it's been those two who've handled the aftermath of Atlas and being stuck in the Ever After the best—because they've found comfort and happiness with each other. That, coupled with Yang getting her own difficult emotions off of her chest, might help them in convincing Ruby to lighten the burden she carries.

Agreed :) and the fun part is that's not even covering all the little details, just the major moments, there's so much to enjoy in this relationship when looking back on it and it is all beautiful!
I would recommend providing the full tweet in quotes though. Especially when posting on forums with people who argue against it, since you can hardly count on the haters to click on the tweet to read the whole thing.

people on tumblr complaining about Bees taking so long

meanwhile I am over here still groaning about last year's Avataro Sentai Donbrothers taking nearly their entire year-long run time before FINALLY having the team do a damn roll call! -.-
Slow Burn is so confusing to some people...
It's so funny/annoying to me because come on, have these people ever seen fictional romances before? Bumblebee might have been slow and steady but at least it's been moving steadily towards a conclusion instead of constantly spinning it's wheels, resetting the status quo repeating the same storylines over and over like so many stories specificity dedicated to romance do.

And the show is far from done, heck the volume isn't even done, so Bumblebee 🐝 gets to be in the exclusive club of fictional romances that don't just end when the couple gets together. They can actually be a couple and do cute couple things for the rest of the show, instead of having to roll credits the moment they kiss.

Honestly I imagine that is part of it, those shows pretty consistently make it clear right off the cuff the characters are in love with no real subtly or nuance or development and then just keep them there. I imagine that's why Monty specifically wanted to do a show where characters were more than their surface presentation.

:D :D :D :D

Damn Jaune really is his own worst enemy huh? When you realize that the reason there's so many fires both literal and metaphorical for him to put out because the Paper Pleasers are trying to Ascend and he's denying them that because he refuses to believe that Ascension can be something other than 💀. If he'd trusted them to understand their own wants and needs and let them change and hadn't obsessed over getting a "win", a place that he could actually protect then he could have made an incredible amount of progress in exploring the Ever After during all that time he was staying there. Instead he just kept saddling himself with an ever growing list of chores that served no purpose and stopped him from growing.
