From a reaction thread on SB. Once again fresh faced viewers spot the red flags around Ironwood and Atlas while the hatedom who have been obsessively rewatching and debating the entire show for years go "I'm gonna pretend I didn't see that."
Its fucking obnoxious to say the least yeah, seriously fuck Warner Brothers Discovery, Batgirl, Willey E Coyote, CRWBY and more, suck fucking bullshit. I really hope that everyone lands on their feet & CRWBY can either crowdfund a purchase of the IP or a decent company with respect for the property and team buys it.

Oh fuck right off. The HTDM can stop watching the show they claim to hate so much and stop paying attention to news about the show they claim to hate so much. Problem solved on both accounts, the fans don't have to be bothered by insufferable haters and the haters don't have to be bothered by insufferable fans.
Except we all know that won't happen because the haters have made hating the show their entire identity and they're bound and determined to make that everyone else's problem. Kind of like how you found your way here.
And frankly I have not seen a single discussion about this that blamed the hatedom, everyone who liked the show blames the real culprit, corporate management. The same suits that canceled Coyote vs ACME and Bat Girl and so on. And managers at Rooster Teeth who did a poor job of making the company profitable, got involved in scandals and refused to listen to feedback.
Not one mention of the hatedom getting the show canceled.
I have seen plenty of haters claim that the show was canceled because it was bad though. Idiots saying that volume 9 was so bad it got the show canceled and other nonsense like that. Not to mention assholes cheering over the company being shuttered and RWBY potentially being canceled.
The difference between your insufferable FNDM and Pugman's insufferable HTDM is that the insufferable HTDM is actually real.

There's some good news to be had though. Some of the former animators (like, the really old ones who worked with Monty) are looking to acquire RWBY.

Hang on, are we in a bizarro universe where being a Monty fan on a show that was his brainchild is considered a red flag?
When it starts as trying to emulate the style, and then enacting the persons name to try and get dibs on said brainchild, yes.
Not to mention for all I know if this guy (Dillon Gru) is still close with Shane (who claimed to be such good friends with Monty that he should be in charge or something), this could turn into a full circle scenario from Shane's Letter to Shane The Boss >.>

Unlike some of the old staff, Dillion does have a good reputation, and his studio has made some quite good animations. The people going 'he worked with Monty, he understands his VISION!!' are the usual assholes ignoring the modern situation , and probably the ones dumping hatemail about Bees in our inboxes again.

That said, If he does have an interest in acquiring RWBY, either to make V10 or some alternate V3 onwards because 'Vision!', asking who he needs to talk to on twitter is not the way to go about it.

Also that, yeah. Especially since, like it or not, Warner doesn't give anything up without making you PAY.
Dillon is still friends with Shane who is basically his like number 2 guy as far as I know and Dillon has basically been silent about RWBY until now so I am intensely leery of the idea of him having influence over the show given those factors.
However, he is otherwise a very chill guy and didn't seem aggrieved with the show the last time I saw him speak of it on the Discord like five years ago just feeling it wasn't his thing.
Beyond that yeah while he has a studio he doesn't exactly have a studio studio, so unless he managed to crowdfund like never before and then crowdfund new volumes like never before after that I find him unlikely at best.
As it is I don't trust anyone who wouldn't bring on CRWBY and especially the writers, anyone else running the story is not going to get a cent from me, because I sure as hell don't trust some rando with a 'vision' or entitlement complex to tell a decent story, let alone handle RWBY.
