Yeah, their serial Harasser suddenly went VERY quiet after months of 'its all queerbait!'. How odd...
Indeed, I'm not surprised they were a coward who couldn't handle being wrong, but still vexing.

Also I know its petty but I would have liked to see their ensuing meltdown upon realizing they wasted years of their life being an asshole over a self delusion.

oh trust me I pass by at least 2 Blacksun/Eclipse shipper based tumblr users while scrolling through the rwby tag and almost always they are complaining about "wasps" and how Sun got screwed over, and one saying they hope we see Sun upset/sad/bummed that Blake didn't choose him and hope that instead of him playing wingman for the bees he gets to bond with Velvet or Emerald.
this same person I don't think favors a single same sex ship.

Man, that first tweet from Eddy there. Biting the hand meta.
If that's why we haven't gotten any news about the Grimm Campaign, not even a "shows cancelled btw, okthnxbai!" then I completely understand and share his frustration.

I really enjoyed watching the Grimm Campaign when it aired and am really sad to see it gone and mad that no official announcement was ever made about it's post season 2 status.

And that one again reminded me of the V1 Jaune Harem fics, as if Jaune would have any idea what to do with a harem
Jaune didn't know what to do with the amazonian goddess who was interested in him.

Granted some of those harem fics do this thing where the guy is unaware of the interest he gets and somehow being an idiot with women hanging off his arms makes him more appealing?

But yeah your point stands.

Guys who are clueless (or even spooked) of the harem usually have a few reasons the girls like him.
They find him cute.
He did a very nice/brave thing for them.
He did a thing because he is a good boy but now the girl has it in their head they are married.

And Harems usually have the following
The Tsundere (Weiss)
The Friend (Ruby)
The Girl Who Very Clearly Crushes Hard (Pyrrha)

So ya, Jaune and his dopey, clueless and clutzy self are an easy fit to a Harem formula.
Though some fics do these far better than others.

ANYWAY
Finale is almost upon us.
Be ready to say good bye to our animal friends.

just watched the first episode of "Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts"
and by the end my mind is like "You could make a RWBY AU of this with Yang as Leonhart and your pick as Sariphi".

I don't think it can be done well.
Be ready to say good bye to our animal friends.
Little (Clap!) should (Clap!) get (Clap!) to (Clap!) go (Clap!) to (Clap!) Remnant! (Clap!)

Wouldn't Blake work better as the beast king and Yang her sacrifice?

Or if anything, Sienna as the beast queen and like... Emerald?

Adaptational Angst Upgrade:
  • In Volume 1, Team RWBY has a much harder time getting along. It isn't until the season finale do they become a cohesive team. Also in Volume 6, the team has a lotmore trouble picking up where they left off, not helped by Blake's guilt at running away being even pronounced and disruptive than in canon, and seeing Ruby work better as Team RNJR.
  • The Silver Eyes induce Laser-Guided Amnesia in the user when used too much, a dark revelation in its own right that causes the teamwork issues above to hit a boiling point.

And that just reminded me how FR showed Blakes guilt over her fleeing. Dragging Yang around a carnival and trying to win her a stuffed toy at a shooting attraction, only to fail (And Yang 100%s it), then a motivational speech with Cardin of all people.

As opposed to canon, where she tries to be extra helpful, and Yang is perceptive enough to catch on and start addressing the issue maturely via communication.

While I would like to see Little (And Juniper) leave with our heroes...narratively I don't think it makes sense.
Little has seemingly found their purpose as "The Guide", and there are those in Ever After that could need that.
So, much like how Sun helped Blake and respectfully bowed out after he helped get her back on her feet and to her team, Little has played their role by being there to help Ruby and help her head home.

Also, I see your love of Sienna there. :p

The drawback of the Silver Eyes is memory erasure for each usage (i.e. dementia).

That would put a limit on all Silvers as eventually they would not be able to use their powers because eventually they'd run out of what powers the power. -.- Yet further proof these idiots don't understand/disregard the source material.

It's depressingly common in 'fix-fics' to has the girls be less competent and effective. See how they struggle so much against even basic Grimm. So why not just keep the canon version where Ruby has to learn to use the power, along with the obvious (and shown) difficulties in getting the right mental state in the middle of battle? Because 'realism = depressing'.

Also worth pointing out is that when Fixing RWBY does the stupid "silver eyes erode your memory" reveal, Maria telling them this is preceding by her asking Team RWBY if they are willing to sacrifice Ruby Rose, in the sense that their friend may become someone who doesn't remember them and the times they shared.

In fact, WBY's responses are even very similar to when such a topic comes up in Volume 9.

Given the fact that Celtic Phoenix is a talentless hack who can't come up with an original idea of his own when it's not fuelled entirely by him being a misogynistic pig, I have zero doubt that no matter how much him and his flunkies claim otherwise, the loser actually ripped off a plotline from the currently-airing volume solely for the sake of padding for his shitty rewrite.

(And the bit about Team RWBY not getting along in V6 is entirely Celtic Phoenix and his groupies being misogynistic fucking losers who think women can't get along for five seconds and will start squabbling for the stupidest reasons.)

Edit: Also, it just occurred to me that if they wanted memory-loss from the Silver Eyes to be a thing, that's probably something they should have foreshadowed. If only there was an instance in Volume 6 prior to Argus where Ruby made use of the Silver Eyes...~ 🙃

I suspect they planned to have the silver eyes do that anyway, because powers have to suck, right? (Probably going to turn the Indomitable scene into horror, or have her not remember Penny). Then they took stuff from V9 because they don't understand how writing works.

In other, more pleasant topics, I imagined a possible scene from tonights ep. The Ruby-cocoon starts to crack, and CatNeo uses the chance to try and grab her. And the first we see of the 'new' Ruby is a properly polished Crescent Rose, as she proceeds to do THIS:
