The comment section is even worse, especially this one:
I know we didn’t get much of Cinder’s past just yet but what little we got is already better then in the show: it doesn’t read like some edgy 15 year old’s first fan fiction where having the character endless being put through the wringer passes as “development”.
I like how Cinder’s arm is slowly over taking her body.
Cardin continues to actually be a person which is nice.
I like how there’s more set up for Qrow’s alcoholism being a legitimate problem instead of the show where it just sort of has it become one after taking pot shots at if constantly (not to mention in Chibi the entire joke with Qrow is that he acts drunk).
I’m just imagining Adam doing like Mr. Popo from Dragon Ball Z Abridged: “Hi…”
I like how Adam continues to feel like a legitimate threat. Bury the Light playing was epic.
I like how their was no stupid melodrama with the turrets.
I like how RWBY are actually out of touch with each other, there’s no way after being separated for such a length of time they wouldn’t be at least a bit rusty.
Ruby being more in tune with Jaune, Nora and Ren was a nice touch. The ending was intense.

- of course it wasn't "development", all we saw was how shit started and how bad it was. and we got it done in one episode. here it's just "tyrian finds her in burning building, says stuff, and then basically kidnaps her". At least from what I have heard about it.
- of course these people have ignored the subtle take over the arm has been doing in canon, where is was hand to elbow at Haven but by Atlas it was covering her shoulder.
- people don't understand "side-characters" at all
- they don't get how when it comes to alcoholics most people that are used to them won't actively do much about the problem until it becomes an actual serious detriment in the moment, like in canon.
- SIMP BE SIMPING
- SIMP BE SIMPING 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO
- and instead the train is completely un-protected, in a world where there are murder beasts that have an in-canon history of fucking up shit like trains
- and yet I am sure there are stories out there both real and fictional of various kinds where brothers/sisters-in-arms can easily fall in step with each other despite time away from each other.
- Ruby is good at being in tune with both groups because both are her friends

The pervert monk from Inuyasha with a black hole in his hand. Fiona would look good in his outfit, her power is superior, and she's not an anime-style perv, so Sango is trading up in terms of love interests!
Oh I see, very cool, and she already knows how to lay down the law via a staff style weapon, its perfect!

Basically one of the original "funny perv" characters from famous/popular anime that our generation grew up on.
While Inuyasha himself was the titular "asshole who had a heart/gained a heart" over the series, Miroku was the monk with the bad habit of being a lecher but the fanbase gives him a pass because it was done for comedy and he ate a heck of a lot of karmic smacks for his antics and part of the "explanation" for his habits was that his power of "Wind Tunnel" was a curse with the risk of it one day consuming him so he really wanted to get a girl to "bare his children".
This was like the mid/late 90's I think and Dragonball was king and Inuyasha was VERY popular with both male and female demographics. While it's women (Kagome and Sango) did eventually settle down with their respective guy (Inuyasha and Miroku) it was a long journey for all involved and the relationships were earned and the girls were not push overs.

And ya, Deep Pockets is better than Wind Tunnel because it doesn't have the drawbacks like "collateral damage", "self suck", or "poisoned by what is schlurped".

Yeah, the fact Miroku actually faced consequences for his pervery on a regular basis put him ahead a lot of other perv characters.

And the fact he did legit care for Sango.
None of the main characters 100% got over their old ways I think, but they all did grow as people, which for me is part of why Inuyasha will remain among the top 10 anime.

Isn't the perfect getting smacked around rather typical?

Well, that and the fact the big bad figured out cute girls was the perfect way to take out the idiot with the 'I win' button and regularly exploited it, leading to him nearly dying and getting called out on it by the woman he was legit interested in.

Ah OK so it was a bit more than just being slapped around in one scene and then perfectly fine the next.

And it also made the "I win" button pretty much null because the sides of the hole got nicked, so much more use would of killed him quicker.
Ya, Sango was NOT happy. Still didn't stop the Monk from putting it on the line to protect her in tight spots.
They basically did kind of what CRWBY did with Drunk Birdman.
Take the "haha, funny character trait" and made it a story point for growth and the "yo, knock this shit off" type deal.

when the tunnel got knicked

seems twi made another response to lil
anyone want to have the "honors" of looking at it?

meanwhile I'm just still looking back on Kamen Rider Kiva stuff, and I can honestly see RWBY's Dork Knight Jaune Arc as the secondary Rider that pretty much anyone could use, Kamen Rider IXA
knight theme and similar color scheme
1 of my fav things about IXA is that it is one of only a few Riders to have MULTIPLE theme songs

IXA, a power built in 1986, and upgraded in 2008. Many "inherited" the power. Honestly I think the various themes of Kiva can fit well with RWBY, and IXA's various songs I think fit.

Individual System - IXA's primary theme. Who is willing to risk sacrificing their life to inherit this power to fight the monsters attacking people?

This Love Never Ends - The theme of IXA'86's primary user, Kurenai Otoya. Your classic flirty white knight and all around goober. No pervyness here, just a man filled with endless confidence, smugness, but all around kind heart to the point where he earns the love of the damn QUEEN of the lead monster faction AND the friendship and favor of 3 other monsters that would go on to serve and protect is son, Wataru, the show's titular Kamen Rider Kiva.

Fight For Justice - The theme of IXA'08's primary user, Keisuke Nago. Where Otoya was smarmy and taunting, Nago is al business. "Fangire. That life, return it to God." is his damn catchphrase. An agent of the Wonderful Blue Sky Organization, he takes out threats like the Fangire (Kiva's primary line of monster antagonists) and he has a great record. However his flaw is his pride, and at points in the show he'd lose himself, such as when Kiva (considered a threat by the organization do to being a Fangire) was able to beat him in a fight or when his boss does not let him use the IXA system. Thankfully he does manage to grow as a character over the course of the show and becomes a resolute ally to Wataru.

Feel The Same - The song of the lead females and occasional users of IXA, Yuri (86) and Megumi (08) Aso. Some time before 86 Akane Aso helped create the original IXA system, and her daughter Yuri would continue the fight and eventually have children of her own and one was Megumi. Their fight against the Fangire is a personal one was the powerful Rook killed Akane in one of his "games" and during the show would fight Yuri who would wound him, leaving the fight all the way to 08. This song follows IXA and Kiva's theme of legacy and passing a fight from one generation to the next (not to dissimilar to Summer, Ruby, and the sight the Silver Eyed Warriors are born to).

Inherited System - Otoya, Yuri, Nago and Megumi sing this one. A celebration, a promise, an inherited power passed from the past to the future. To protect lives, inherit that Powered System and fight.

Okay, but I'm just going to focus on this one comment:
I like how Adam continues to feel like a legitimate threat.
Adam got held off by one member of the main cast and two schmucks, then fell off a train. Heck, the part where he got knocked off the train was just Qrow. He got smacked off a train by one guy.

Literally the only reason Adam was even remotely a threat (except he really wasn't) was because Celtic Phoenix took away RWBY's weapons just so they couldn't get in the way of his pet characters getting the limelight.

If he attacked the entire train head on by himself when there were a dozen Huntsmen & Huntresses aboard then he's also leagues dumber than canon Adam.
