Huh, this is at least the second time I have now seen a fic where Byleth (3 Houses protag) ends up in Remnant.
Graaaaaanted the other one I saw was Emblem Byleth, i.e. a magic soul inside a ring from Fire Emblem Engage. In that one E.Byleth's Ring ended up in the Emerald Forest and Jaune found it, so now Jaune has a new teacher to pester him about his combat skills and the fact he forged his way into Beacon.

eeeeh, not sure I'll read this.
the writing style is not my cup of not-tea when it comes to reading stories, even though that is how I tend to write out my occasional character blurbs on this and other sites.

random question folks
If falling off The Bridge actually cause RWBY, Jaune and Neo to get Isekai'd wholesale (retain bodies and skills) into a different setting (be it original or another series), what would you most want to see out of it?

Are we talking in the show or as a fanfiction?

umm......either or I guess.
like of course it would be more a fanfiction (unless CRWBY was payed to do a special where the 6 Fallen ended up in another series for a quick crossover).
I mean, having the 6 of them land in a DC universe is simple enough, and My Hero is another popular series people like to have the RWBY cast interact with.

Ah Ok just wanted to clarify, in that case these are the options based on what RWBY can officially crossover with:
Picking one from among these is tricky, though I am currently loving the DC comics so they are near the top of the list along with Blaze Blue and Digimon and Fate.

that list is missing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which would be connected to DC, Power Rangers, and most recently Street Fighter.

Fair point there, I think it needs updating XD

I think its also a tricky question cos I'd like to see certain characters in certain settings, but if we're talking officially I know I'd never get the story I want from that.

For instance, stick RWBY in Warcraft and I know damn well they aren't gonna have it center on trolls or mobs or even elves so what's the point ya know?

But yeah of the official options those are my picks, maybe Guilty Gear too though I never played it I know there's a cute trans girl in it which is enough to make it aces in my book.

Guilty Gear
is a popular fighting game series, for sure, and the most recent game did garner a lot of attention because said character you are talking about finally/officially come out as trans (as before I think it was just kept as "guy in nun attire" because crossdressing=funny, but I could be wrong on that). They also have an agender character with a scythe.

Granted I do know kdin has issues with such characters because neither (or at least the nun) are not voiced by the kind of person they represent, i.e. the nun is not voiced by a transgender person.

*shrugs* Some people are happy there is rep, others are not happy unless it's a full deal.

Back to RWBY, my picks would be DC, TMNT, and Power Rangers.
For DC we all know the potential is there.
For TMNT it fits because it's a team of 4, the idea of Faunus/Mutant talk, and the mental image of Donny try to fight a Grimm with "just a stick". Also it would not be Rise-based Turtles, it would be more like one of the other cartoon adaptations.
For Rangers, can we get Ruby and Jaune geeking about heroes and their GIANT MECHS? Please?

Mhm that sounds about right.

I appreciate the existence of such characters, even if I do think they should be voiced by trans VA's. Also given the character evolved into trans, I can see why replacing the VA would be more complicated than just casting someone for a new character so (Waves hand vaguely)

Fair picks to be sure.
Fortunately TMN oscilate wildly in power depending on setting so some can definitely fight Grimm, others... Less so.
Is Jaune shown to care about mecha or tech at all?

Personally I think it's best to try and get wins where you can.
Small steps, especially since not everyone is comfortable with coming out.
Given time I am positive games and other media will show more positive representations, and in time there will be more LGBTQ+ people in the voice acting field to pick from. If there a lot of known and available trans people to call on then it will become harder for companies to deny them the roles.

On power scale....Rise would fit the best, since those are an adaptation where they have anime powers. -.- I just don't see them as THE Ninja Turtles. -.-
For Jaune, we know he likes comic books, and we saw him (along with Ruby and Nora) go all sparkle eye as they watched the Ace-Ops do the group walk out of the mines. So I figure Jaune would be right there geeking with his best friend when seeing a team of colorful heroes doing their thing, and plus giant metal dinosaurs are cool.

Yeah this is one of those things that can get messy pretty quickly, so I'll take a trans rep win in this case.

That's fair, I don't think I have a 'The TMNT' as I watched like four different versions as a kid XD

Dinosaurs are indeed cool so fair point there.

For me TMNT is basically what we got in the late 1987 (which is flanderized to hell and back as a weird joke universe each time they team up with other iterations), the 2003 from the Fox Kids era of saturday morning cartoons, and the 2012 series from Nickelodeon. Each of those have more or less the same base structure. Leonardo is the leader, Raph is the number 2 who makes quips and/or is the hot head of the group, Donny is the techy of the squad and Mikey is the playful goober while Master Splinter is the old, wise and civilized ratman (either a man-sized rat or a man turned into a ratman).

Meanwhile Rise changed a handful of things, and I could barely sit through the first 5 minutes of the very first episode. Changes include;
All the turtles are different types of turtles (Raph is a snapping, and Donny is a softshell)
Raph is the leader and is the level headed eldest brother
Leo comes off as an arrogant jerk, and not in the amusing way like past Raphs
Splinter is like the size of a Pikachu and our first shot of him is of him past out on a recliner in the lair with trash all around him
They changed the iconic weapons

Basically to me Micheal FREAKIN EXPLOSIONS Bay got the Turtles crew more right than Rise Of The Wannabe Anime.

I enjoyed Rise and don't really feel the need to be married to keeping the turtles example the same across every iteration, but fair enough.
