Fixing RWBY has Maria find a note that says "don't sleep".but the journal is the build up, it's part of the suspense that leads to the reveal of the ReDeads in the basement
why must they be dumb
Wow that sounds so much scarier than going from house to house and finding a bunch of corpses in every bed with no sign of a struggle, leaving the implication of there being some kind of dream killing monster and having the audience sitting at the edge of their seats in terror as the protagonists go to bed, breathlessly waiting for the incoming blow only to be shocked when it suddenly becomes morning and nothing (seemingly) happened, leaving the audience even tighter in the grip of terror as they now have no idea what to expect.Fixing RWBY has Maria find a note that says "don't sleep".
After they've spent the night at the Farms.
But nothing actually comes out of having spent the night there specifically.
Seen some confusion about folks thinking that Summer is in the Ever After because Ruby saw her weapon in the smithy. Guys. Gals. NBs. Pay attention please. There was clearly something deeply fucky with the smithy and the blacksmith.
Penny's sword was there even though it was last seen being kicked into some bushes by the Red Prince. When the automaton lady was talking to Ruby the sword suddenly turned into Alyx knife while Ruby wasn't looking, a knife that Alyx presumably took with her back to Remnant. Ruby entering and exciting the smithy seems to have been some form of hallucinations or tangible illusions, or space warping weirdness. Most likely Summer's axe wasn't actually there, or was there but wasn't real, or was real but both was and was not there. Etc.
