It's impressive the lengths that Ironwood stans will go to prove that it really is about hating women who defy the Man in Charge.speaking of which, that reminds of Ironside.
You would be surprised, im planning to do a deep dive into FRWBY next week too, see what the fuss is about.
Fair, while Ironwood was definitely not a great guy in many respects in the V2/3 era, IE being buddy buddy with Jac, backstabbing Ozpin and such; he hadn't had his world view torn to shreds by Salem and then started spiraling into isolationism either. So, one thing that's amusing me lately is the comments for a fic I'm reading set V2 early v3, where several readers are insisting that certain stations of canon HAVE to happen. Not in the sense of A leading to B because it makes sense, but they're insisting Ironwood has to 'go crazy' (their words) even when it's looking like the Fall of Beacon won't happen. It's as blind and willfully ignorant as the 'Ironwood was always in the moral right no matter what's crowd.
They did not hold back

I'm suddenly reminded of how folks in RWBY "critic" communities whine about how Emerald Sustrai was given a chance by the protagonists, dismissing how she had realized the error of siding with Salem and showed remorse for her past actions, helped Oscar escape from Monstra, gave Ruby encouragement when she was at her lowest, and played a vital part in their plan to take out Ironwood and evacuate the citizens of Atlas and Mantle.
I just feel like contrasting that with someone who has repeatedly stalked and harassed multiple people here across several websites, who first came here just to attack members of this community and to insult other users for disagreeing with him doing so, and who now seems to think he gets to participate in this very community he's shown zero respect for along with the people in it.
So, finished the lore part. I do like some of the additions/changes, but something really struck me. Phoenix says that he is making a more believable and realistic work, which is for the most part correct. But many of the things he mentions are already canon, so its strange how he seemingly is fixing RWBY by.... Doing the same thing RWBY does, like for example Aura and Semblances for the most part.
Also, really noticed this strange misremembering of info, he says that CCTV network going down with one tower doesnt make sense, but it does considering the history of the world and the war that the kingdoms had, its basically a preventative measure from one kingdom sabotaging the other. If one falls, others do too, incentivizing cooperation. He also noted how its strange that animals and Grimm dont have skirmishes, but if i am not mistaken, they do in canon due to territory things.
So far so good, i know its just one video, but i am noticing a few cracks.
Just as a note, its just a joke. One does have to understand that not all jokes are criticisms, or even implied criticisms. Sometimes it does feel like jokes are made out to be more, than what they actually are.It says a lot that this is the level of 'quality' one can expect:
This website suuuuuucks
It tells you everything you need to know that RWBY is rife with things to critcise and yet the "problems" RWDE like to zero in on all amount to that the female cast are all bitches who should be less…www.tumblr.com
Yknow, its actually funny. So much of RWBY plot contains things that Ozpin wanted to do good with, but which end up going wrong. Ozpin makes the maidens, now they are being hunted and some of them use their maiden powers for evil (Raven). I think it is Ozpin who uses the relic of creation to raise Atlas into the sky, literally creating a two worlds situation between classes. It is (maybe? I dont know if it was Oz) who decides that CCTV network is dependant on all towers being up (I dont think its confimed though, this is my headcanon). As you say, Lionheart is put into his position is also a possibility, but if i am not mistaken that is also not stated in Canon (correct me if im wrong on that). The huntsmen system is meant to protect people from Grimm, yet it is also abused by people who are less than nice in their intent. That seems to of been Oz's M.O.
Take an action to try and set the people in a situation where they can make better choices and better handle themselves and look after each other.
The CCT system to give people a reason to promote bridges toward unity, raise the city of Atlas into the skies to give the people of the Kingdom of Mantle a silver lining and a brighter tomorrow after they were handed their asses, putting Lionheart into the position of Headmaster in an anti-faunus area to try and promote better relations with faunus-kind, founding the Huntsmen system itself so serve The People instead of The Kingdoms.
Damn, from what im reading, that is pretty good. Lots of talking about how RWBY storylines were executed and changing the execution rather than the message. Thats pretty niiice.Believe or not, there’s a rewrite that’s not a middle finger to CRWBY. It’s actually interesting, give it a try. It does, however, has spelling and grammar errors.
Aside from one classic red flag—namely, downplaying the impact of an abuser—the one thing that immediately jumped out at me was the linked page talking about how in the rewrite Atlas would be a "moral grey" and then inventing a new nation just so Atlas could be fascist towards it. (Not hyperbole, the author explicitly namedrops fascism.)Believe or not, there’s a rewrite that’s not a middle finger to CRWBY. It’s actually interesting, give it a try. It does, however, has spelling and grammar errors.
Also, changing Ruby and Oscar's ages because the author complains about the two being shipped
