After considerabke thought, I've placed this game in the timeline. Clearly, it is after tears, but before breath, taking place simultaneously with Zelda 1 and Skyward Sword.

Man, once you get the cloud echo, you can go almost anywhere...
I laughed maniacally when I got that echo and instantly realized the potential. The only real downside is that you need to be somewhat quick to use it and that you need to avoid getting stuck on the ceiling/flying too high and passing out.

On my way to the gorons, I got hilariously sidetracked with the cloud echo after realizing just how many cliffs were off-screen with heart containers and might crystals. I ended up back in the gerudo desert.

for as hyped as the horse was in some of the promotional videos.....it isn't really that big of a game changer. >.>

It's just a cute extra, yeah. It's not much faster than walking, and even once you unlock the horse that will come running to a carrot echo, you have teleport markers everywhere anyway.

Plus you can fast travel via echoes such as by Binding yourself to a wind turret or one of those bladed floor traps or any number of other options.

Speaking of finding stuff, just found the great fairy in the middle of lake hylia. She increases your accessory limit. 100 rupees, then 300, 500 and so on.
Might want to visit her again when you've got them all, and look for a chest.

... Now I want to grab the floor tile trap, an open area, and just see how long it goes for...
Personally I just created the floor tiles, jumped onto them and let them carry me. I only heard about Binding them later. Not sure if that actually extends their reach or not. They're definitively great for getting over long gaps though.
