Well, I've decided to do a Civ Quest set in Creation. Here are your options, choose wisely:

-

[] Mortal Kingdom of Terek

Located in the Northern River Province, Terek is a mortal run kingdom. It is the run of the mill option.

Pros:

Well Established: You start with full coffers and dominant in your local area.

River Province: You are part of the biggest river network in the world, which makes all of it's inhabitants very rich off trade.

Cons:

The Guild: Most of that trade is conducted by merchants of the Guild.

Anathema and the Hundred Gods: Lookshy is far away, and Dragonblooded monks are rare. You need to deal with the local spirits, fae, and lunar warlords yourself.

-

[] Chosen of the Sun

You are one of the Solar Anathema. You shall lead your tribe to greatness, or die to your many enemies, and you are strong enough that even with the world against you the outcome is in doubt. You start in the jungles of the East.

Pros:

Solar Exalted: Your PC is MIGHTY, many options become open to one of your strength. Your personal intervention will guarantee success unless opposed by either very powerful mystical opposition or an absurdly large committment of resources by your enemies. You may use your magics to directly augment the power of your polity. Other advantages may present themselves as well.

Cons:

Solar Anathema: Every political organization in Creation has a valid casus beli against you, and while Heaven and Hell don't that doesn't mean people in them won't want your head.

Tribe: You're starting from the bottom sonny boy.

You Only Live Once: Quest ends if the PC dies.

-

[] Autochthonian Expedition

Yugash has chosen you as the overseer of Project Razor. Upon you falls the duty to gain the raw materials to keep Yugash going, and if you are successful enough perhaps even to save the Great Maker from the dire straights he is in.

Pros:

Magical Robots: You have a full assembly of Alchemical Exalts at your command for this operation.

Technological Superiority: Yugash is much more technologically advanced than anything you are likely to encounter in the short term.

Stranger in a Strange Land: You have no enemies, at least to start.

Cons:

Extraction Colony: After you have established itself, Yugash expects their investment in you to yield a considerable return in resorouces, and considering they have invested five exalts in your success, this is a hefty expectation.

Environment Shock: Creation is very different from the body of the Great Maker, and there are more threats than just the local humans and spirits.

Stranger in a Strange Land: You have no friends, at least to start.
