Like, the one I'm reading recently has Cinder and Ironwood each getting offered a great power from a person from another faction, meanwhile Ruby doesn't realize she has lost access to her strongest item but is making plans to call for back up. Shit is getting wild as Cinder looks to become a Burning Rose and "King James" is about to get his obedient army.

ANYWAY, meanwhile with RWBY proper

recently listening to music from RENT
and now my brain is thinking "RENT, but with with RWBY characters"

and here is Yang and Blake with a candle

I mean, one sad thing that RWBY and RENT share is that they both lost a big mind behind them before completion.
RWBY lost Monty before V3 started airing, and RENT lost Jonathan Larson who was the main person behind the music, theme, and wanting it to be on Broadway (where it eventually reached after his death and became one of the longest running shows).
2 ambitious men, taken before they could see their dreams brought to full.

Is anyone else here familiar with the musical RENT (or at least the 2005 movie)?

Roger - Yang or Jaune

Mimi - Blake

Colin - Ruby

Angel - Penny

if you can find a way to watch the movie at least, do it.
It is good. especially the Life Support scene.
also, most of the movie cast are the same as the original broadway cast.

That's a solid point there actually I hadn't considered that but Europe does fit Vale better than Atlas.

The really magical thing about that chapter of Fixing RWBY is that if you aren't already familiar with the Apathy from canon, you will have no idea what is happening and why because Fixing RWBY itself doesn't have any sort of foreshadowing, build-up, or explanation as to what the Grimm they encounter are, why Blake and Yang are getting tired out of nowhere, or what happened at the Brunswick Farms in the first place.

It's a truly amazing degree of incompetence as a writer.

But he has Adam in a garishly red outfit as the thumbnail of his videos. Surely that's the sign of a competent writer? 😶

Roman faced his past

As a side note, this reminds me that honestly, the thought of Roman as a main character is a tiring concept and exhausting on it's own. Like many villains, he works best in small doses, because any more and you realize just how much of an unbearable shit he is to deal with on a daily basis.

Although the guy on tumblr claiming this just proves you need things spelled out on screen was good for a laugh at.
