random thought
if Ruby could "hear the voice of weapons" what do you think she would hear from them?
like;
Mrtynaster - a posh and stern teacher voice
Crocea Mors - an older man's voice, akin to a veteran soldier
Ember Celica - a pair of child-like voices, one energetic the other monotone (hot & cold)

stuff like that

Honestly, you could put this to the RWBY cast.

ok, something just hit me......
from the fall of beacon to now.....the story is just repeating what happened with The Great War.
Shots fired between Mistral and Vale to kick it off - Cinder and her "Mistral" based team being behind The Fall of Beacon
Mistral being corrupt and it effecting the lives of it's people - Leo being in Salem's pocket and thus it's outlying settlements and it's huntsmen are easy pickings
Mantle silencing the expression of the people and trying to bring it's might on others - Ironwood and Atlas ignoring and later trying to violently silence Mantle
Mantle and Mistral trying to bully Vacuo into siding with them and take Vacuo over, only for Vacuo to fight back and side with Vale in defending their land - The Crown trying to breakdown Shade and take over Vacuo, only for Shade to rally and with the Beacon Brigade turn the tide and defend the school (or alternatively Vacuo characters could be wary of helping the refugees despite the Brigade vouching for what remains of their friends, but end up rallying and siding with our heroes).

Like, Oz as The Last King used "Strength" to end the war, but in the end it's clear nothing really changed and nothing was really learned.

If RWBY was a 100% Japanese made thing could you imagine the character song tracks sang by the voice actress?

Kinda irks me but amuses me for the hypocrisy that if someone posts a cool essay discussing their take on RWBY and its positive the RWDE crowd swill pitch a fit, say its not based on anything in the show and blah blah blah. But if the RWDE crowd posts a negatively geared essay made up of the most baseless shit imaginable, reliant entirely on at best disingenuous interpretations and writing decisions, no one's allowed to point out the bullshit.

Spoiler warning, but being negative does not make your take inherently smarter or more accurate.

Yes this was inspired by some exchanges on SV I am choosing to otherwise ignore.

My personal favourite comment under that Ironwoodprotectionsquad post was the guy that claimed the animators were slipping in things like the announcement board as a form of subtle rebellion against Ironwoods 'character assassination'. "See? He's actually a nice guy who can talk to kids!"
HAHAHAHAHA

But see this is also exactly what I am saying, they can propose the most reaching bullshit but if someone calls them on it they'll demand it be taken with the utmost seriousness, but someone highlights that RWBY have been screwed over or failed by nearly every authority figure they've trusted so far and how that might inform their actions with Ironwood and its ignored cos a character didn't explicitly say it.

The Cliffnotes Version of FRWBY V6Ep1

The cold opening has White Fang members scrambling and talking about their next move. When Adam comes to, one of them approaches him and says “Adam, thank God you’re awake! The police are coming and we don’t know what to do” before Adam cuts him down, before he leaves the hideout on a motorcycle.

-A week has passed since the attack at Haven, and Ruby and company are going to a festival, though Jaune stays behind to look after Qrow.

-Roman and Neo leave to do their own thing, and Blake still holds Roman responsible for the death of Tukson.

-There’s a montage of Team RWBY having fun, although there’s an undercurrent feeling of things not being right (despite how pleasant they are), including an almost humorous moment where Ruby offers Blake a Grimm mask, which only makes Blake feel uncomfortable.

-Weiss mentions her frustration over trying to find Winter only to find that her sister went back to Atlas, and that they could stay in Mistral a little longer, but Ruby cheers her up saying that the team is together, and buys Weiss a shawl.

-Blake drags Yang to a shooting gallery, tries to win her a prize, but comes up short. Yang steps up, hits the target score, and leaves before claiming anything.

Sun is at the festival, with Ilia cuffed with him. Team SSSN and Team ABRN are there too. Sun says he has to keep watch on Ilia before she goes back to Menagerie to serve out her sentence, though Kali suggested that going to the festival is some kind of reward reward for Ilia for her help in trying to bring Adam to justice, and the cuffs are a compromise, though Ilia says she’d rather be in jail.

-Qrow is puking drunk and tells Jaune that he’s proud of the kids for what they’ve done and for sticking by Ruby.

-The teams are hanging out, but Arslan is still incensed and trying to look for Cinder, but Yang says she has no clue where Cinder is. When Ruby looks at her scroll, she freaks out and says she, Weiss, Blake, and Yang have to leave, with Weiss saying they have a train to catch in the morning.

-Jaune asks if Team RWBY have seen Nora and Ren, and the episode ends showing the two of them relaxing on a bench and sharing a kiss under the moon.

I'm almost tempted to do a review/analysis of Fixing RWBY, because hearing what Celtic Phoenix did with Sienna—namely, making her the backstabbing psycho instead of Adam so a white man can look better for killing a black woman in an arc involving themes of racism—really highlights how the kind of people who whine about sexism or racism or queerphobia and then endorse Fixing RWBY and other rewrites are monstrous hypocrites.

The guy Adam killed? A dragon Faunus.

Or twelve.

But I do just love that RWBY "rewrites" are about "critics" being entirely unable to come up with an original story and instead having to find ways to have the original plot happen note-for-note with their own garbage tucked into the margins.
