No, people often hold their beliefs about RWBY legitimately. I'm not sure there's any logic involved, and most of it is spite, but they're actual beliefs and opinions.

You know, Robyn must have been taking notes on the downfall of the White Fang and Sienna's mistakes for when the time came to active blows with Atlas. Look at her actions in V7. That is someone who was paying attention.

The fact is, any kind of active rebellion, as opposed to trying to change the system from within as an elected official, would require very careful public relations, especially given the fact Atlas would control the official media to a large extent. Remnant had already had a large international group turn to violent actions, in ways that lost them the support of their own people. Now, I admit we only have a small sample of examples, but the way they were targeting the Atlas military in ways that only hurt them financially, while encouraging local businesses to boycott the military, makes me think Robyn had paid attention to the mistakes of her predecessors.

To some extent that's true. At the same time, I feel the growing element of uncontrollable (Or perhaps unaimed is a better word) violence was turning more people against them.

They were still getting massive turn outs at recruitment rallies and no one save the wholly ignorant or Weiss expressed any real issue with them.

True enough. I still feel that the actions of Adam and his supporters were starting to shift that... Or maybe I'm remembering the IRA comparison and how that shift to extremism managed to lose them the peoples support (How do you lose a PR war with freaking ENGLAND?!)

OK, I kind of want Miles to do another cameo video to confirm that Watts is dead, like he did for Ironwood.
I have people who think Watts could be alive because nothing has been confirmed about his fate.
A burning room, a crashing city, and a surge of frigid water is clearly not enough for people.
